According to him, one of the deputy heads of the company, who is suspected of stealing "of about 5 million hryvnia per month through fictitious companies", is meant.
In addition, according to Yarema, the law enforcement officers have identified embezzling of public funds by Energoatom officials.
He also recalled that the General Prosecutor's Office has accused the former management of the state-owned enterprise Ukrinterenergo in purchasing of coal from the RSA which is not suitable for the Ukrainian thermal power plants.
According to Yarema, several expert evaluations have shown that coal from the Republic of South Africa may be used for Ukrainian power plants only if mixed with the Ukrainian anthracite coal. Besides, he advised "to pay attention to the price at which the coal was purchased."
