 Poroshenko Instructed Security Officials to Ensure "Day of Silence" on Dec. 9

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko held a meeting with the heads of law enforcement agencies regarding the situation in the Donbas.

The participants discussed the performance of tasks in the ATO area and identified measures to ensure the implementation of the Minsk agreements on the Day of Silence, which is scheduled to begin on Dec. 9, Censor.NET reports citing the press service of the head of state.

According to the report, the meeting determined future actions in case of the militants' non-compliance with the Minsk agreements.

The head of state paid special attention to the advancement of the Armed Forces supply with military equipment and freeing the hostages from the enemy captivity.

The meeting was attended by Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak, Interior Minister Arsen Avakov, Chairman of the Security Service Valentyn Nalyvaichenko, Chairman of the State Border Service Viktor Nazarenko, Deputy Commander of the National Guard Mykola Balan.
