 State Aviation Service Wins in Court Against Russia’s Aeroflot. Penalty for Airspace Violation Is 7.8 Million Hryvnias

The State Aviation Service has won a suit against Aeroflot airline (Russia) concerning cases of the Ukrainian airspace violations.

This was stated by Head of the Legal Department of the Ministry of Transport Kateryna Kapliar, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrainian News.

According to her, on Wednesday the State Aviation Service won 57 cases for the amount of 136,000 hryvnia each in the District Administrative Court of Kyiv.

Interfax-Ukraine cites the statement of Kapliar that the District Administrative Court of Kyiv decreed to collect 7.8 million hryvnia from Aeroflot for violation of the rules and procedures of using the country's airspace in accordance with the claims.

The decision has already been transferred to the State Enforcement Service. Aeroflot has 10 days from receipt of the court's decision to challenge it.
