"We need to hear the report of Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak and Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces Viktor Muzhenko in the parliament," the lawmaker said.
"[They need to] explain what place does the airport hold in our defense. Because there is mass heroism - yes, victories - yes. But how long can we hold it? If we keep holding it, we need to understand how we will repel the attacks, if there are attempts to cut off the supply lines, how we will continue the advance. That is, the airport's place in the general strategic plan: if there is one. I would like to hear Muzhenko on this issue, " Semen Semenchenko said.
Answering the question on whether the minister of defense will speak in the Parliament today, the MP noted: "There will be a report, but I do not think it will be in the format which we need."
Ukrainian security forces took control of the airport in Donetsk on May 27. Since that day, the militants have been attacking its premises non-stop.
