 Number of Internally Displaced Persons from ATO Area and Crimea Exceeded 501,000 People

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine has registered 501,157 internally displaced persons from the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area and Crimea annexed by Russia as of Dec. 2.

This was announced by the State Emergency Service press center Tuesday, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrainski Novyny.

"501,157 people in total, including 129,430 children, and 106,249 physically challenged and elderly have been temporarily housed," the statement reads.

This number includes persons displaced within the Donetsk region, which is 74,074 people, and 30,120 people within the Luhansk region.

19,587 people left the territory of Crimea, including 5,440 children and 1,413 physically challenged and elderly people.

Also, 481,570 people left the ATO area, including 123,990 children and 104,836 physically challenged and elderly people.

Total of 969 people left the ATO area on Dec. 1, including six children and 18 physically challenged and elderly people.
