25-Meter Ukrainian Flag with Photos of Those Killed on Maidan and in War with Russia Unwrapped in Dnipropetrovsk. VIDEO

On Sunday, Nov. 30, members of different Ukrainian churches, Euromaidan activists, and public activists prayed together for the future of Ukraine.

The prayer was held by priests of two churches - Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Kyiv patriarchy and Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church, Censor.NET reports citing Radio Svoboda. People prayed for Ukrainian heroes and soldiers killed on Maidan during the events of the Dignity revolution (in January-February of 2014) and at the anti-terrorist operation in the east of Ukraine.

"Today, we preach for peace, which is in liberty, not in slavery. Today, we preach for tolerance, respect to each other. These are our Ukrainian values. This prayer to Holy Mary sounds all across Ukraine today. The words are very simple, but I believe that Holy Mary will always be with us," Symeon, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk eparchy of Ukrainian Orthodox Church said.

After the prayer, the participants of the gathering recalled the events that happened a year ago, when Maidan protests were oppressed in Kyiv and Dnipropetrovsk.

Those praying were joined by young people who walked across the city with a 25-meter Ukrainian flag with pictures of those killed on Maidan in Kyiv (the so called 'Nebesna Sotnia,' or 'Heavenly Company') and in the ATO zone this year. The flag was brought to European square, where people knelt to it, lit candles, and held a moment of silence.
