 Russia Sends 14 Fighter Jets to Occupied Crimea

Fourteen fighter planes are to arrive at Belbek military airfield in Crimea on Wednesday.

This was stated by chief Black Sea Fleet information Captain I Rank Vyacheslav Trukhachev, Censor.NET reports citing RIA Novosti.

"Ten modernized Su-27SM and four Su-30 (both belong to a 4+ generation) are arriving to Belbek. Of the 14 aircraft four are brand new," Trukhachev said.

"Ten aircraft already have time on the wings, they are maintained in good condition and will now perform the tasks in the sky of Crimea. The supply of the aircraft is a part of the placement of a Armed Forces group in Crimea," the official said.

According to him, most of the Sevastopol residents "have not even seen this equipment and will certainly pay attention to it when the planes are in the sky."
