 Slovakia Is Ready to Supply More Gas to Ukraine

Eustream, the gas transmission system of Slovakia operator, could increase the volume of the reverse gas supplies to Ukraine in the near future comparing to 11.5 billion cubic meters per year, which is scheduled to be delivered from January 1, 2015.

Company's spokesman Vahram Chugurian said Tuesday, Censor.NET reports citing RIA Novosti.

"There are technical possibilities to further increase the reverse supply of gas to Ukraine through Slovakia," Chugurian said.

According to him, everything depends on the Ukrainian party which is now working to further improve its gas transportation systems.

"Once Eustream receives confirmation from the Ukrainian party of its willingness to expand capacity of supply, it will announce the launch of the Open Season procedure, during which the companies submitted an application to pump additional gas to Ukraine will be registered," Chugurian said.

The entire process will take just a few weeks, he said. The Eustream spokesman refused to specify how much further the volume of gas pumped into Ukraine could be increased.
