Four thousand orphans in Crimea were given Russian citizenship without their consent.

"In an unprecedented violation of children's rights, as guaranteed by Article 8 of the UN Convention on the child's right to preserve his or her identity, including nationality. 4,000 Ukrainian orphans and children deprived of parental care, which stayed in Crimea automatically, without taking into account their views were simply announced its citizens by another country," Filipishina said.
