"We are starting construction of a gas pipeline to Poland and will be able to supply liquefied natural gas to Ukraine through this country when the joints will be expanded. Our assistance can also be used to solve the problems of securing the country from monopolies, introduced by the third energy package of the EU," the Minister of Energy said.
He noted that Lithuania is planning to finish the gas pipeline construction before 2019.
"We have already passed translated legal and technical papers related to the construction of the LNG terminal to the Ukrainian party. We can also help to build such terminal," he said.
