This was stated by head of the Donetsk region, Oleksandr Kikhtenko today in Kyiv at a conference responding to misinformation in the context of hybrid war, Censor.NET reports citing the press service of the governor.
The head of the region stressed that the militants regularly shell Debaltseve using Russian weapons, which are brought into the region in the so-called humanitarian convoys. Two days ago, the Russian "humanitarian aid" destroyed 20 civilian facilities, including residential buildings.
As soon as another "humanitarian convoy" (from Russia - ed.) comes to Ukraine, the shelling of the positions of our army, as well as residential areas, intensifies," Oleksandr Kikhtenko.
He noted that the Russian propaganda and its Donetsk satellites in the form of the so-called local media deceive people after each shelling, reporting that they were conducted by the Ukrainian army.
"We have irrefutable evidence that the attacks on the towns are conducted by the DPR militants, but unfortunately, we cannot provide it to the people living in the occupied territory since they are in the Russian information vacuum and do not have free access to Ukrainian TV channels," the governor stated.
The chairman of the regional administration said that currently the problem of lack of Ukrainian television broadcast in Donetsk is being solved at the state level. Specific mechanisms have been developed that will soon allow broadcast the state TV signal to the occupied territory.
