 Poroshenko Signs Decree to Award Heavenly Hundred With Titles of Hero of Ukraine

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has signed the Decree on Awarding the Title of the Hero of Ukraine to the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred. The document has been signed by the President at the meeting with families of the fallen activists.

Petro Poroshenko stressed that under the procedure, the title of the Hero of Ukraine couldn't be given to three foreigners killed in the course of the Revolution of Dignity. That's why they will be awarded the Order of the Hero of the Heavenly Hundred, Censor.NET reports citing the press service of the head of state.

The president emphasized the importance of punishing the people guilty in the deaths of people during the Revolution of Dignity. "It is a very hard day, very tragic. Those who killed the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred must be punished," the President stated.

The Head of State informed that in the course of the today's meeting with the first activists of Maidan, among which there were the newly elected deputies, it had been agreed that one of the first decisions of the new Parliament would be the creation of temporary investigatory commission on the investigation of crimes on Maidan.

The president instructed Prosecutor General Vitalii Yarema to regularly report to the families of the deceased on the course of the investigation.
