"The fact that "Great Mother Russia" is assembling troops from all over the country to build up the striking group in the Rostov region for an offensive in no secret. The group is made of multiple ground force units from the four Russian military districts: Southern, Western, Central, and even Eastern one. Airborne units, as well as Spetsnaz GRU (Russian Special Forces) also make part of the abovementioned strike forces. But this does not complete the list. The Black Sea Coast Guard units, such as the 810th Marine Brigade, as well as the 8th Artillery regiment (the one that occupied the Crimea), the Baltic Fleet's 61st Marines Brigade, as well as the 200th Special Forces Brigade from the Rostov region are also deployed there.
"Apparently, all that has not been enough, as recently more troops have been moved here, including the 336th Marines brigade from the Russian Baltic fleet, unit 06117, based in town of Baltiisk, the Kaliningrad region (in the near future to become a so-called Konigsberg People's Republic). Marines of the 336th Brigade were airlifted to the Rostov region from the town of Baltiisk via St. Petersburg in early November. They are expected to be reinforced with other Baltic Fleet units. Expected size of the task force is a tactical company made up primarily of contract personnel from the air assault battalion," the blogger reports.
Сurrently, the 336th Brigade marines are stationed in a field camp close to Millerovo airfield. Some of them were deployed to the Ukrainian border for the second time (these marines were stationed in the Voronezh region of Russia last summer).
Summer "trip" to the Voronezh region.
