"We Will See in Two or Three Weeks Whether There Is Result" - German Foreign Minister Commented on Negotiations with Putin on Donbas

German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier believes that the de-escalation of the situation and the political settlement of the conflict in eastern Ukraine are on the long-term horizon.

He said to journalists in Berlin Wednesday, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrinform.

"Unfortunately, we are still in a situation where we are far from stable conflict de-escalation and still further from a political decision," the minister said after his one-day visit to Kyiv and Moscow on Tuesday.

According to the results of his talks with the Russian leadership, Steinmeier said that Berlin and Moscow still have "substantially different views on the events in Ukraine."
