"In any case, whether there is a scheduled start of the war or not, the Ukrainian military must be ready for the development of any situation, including aggression. The first line of defense is already prepared in this regard, our detachments have been reinforced, additional means of defense and weapons have been removed from the long term storage, additional manpower units from the active reserve are prepared and ready to advance in any direction where the aggression would occur," he said.
Answering the question of what additional reserves are meant and how many of them, Lysenko said: "Who told you to ask these questions? I'll just say that those who carry out the adversarial intelligence are constantly asking where our military are, how many soldiers are there and what equipment exactly is on position. We will never specify the number of our people being on the defensive line and in reserve - it is an element of military secret. No offense meant."
Earlier, President Poroshenko said that Ukraine is ready for the worst scenarios, including the war with Russia.
