Integrated Unit of the 28th separate motorized rifle brigade (SMRB) of the Central Military District (military installation 61423 place of permanent deployment – Yekaterinburg, 32nd military town).

This is reported by investigative blogger Irakli Komakhidze writes on Informnapalm, Censor.NET reports.

He writes that according to the obtained information and photographs, a division of the 28th SMRB was redeployed to the Rostov region from Yekaterinburg in late October.

"At the moment, a division of the 28th SMRB is deployed in a field camp in Neklinovskiy district of the Rostov region, in a strategic, with an ability to move out in two directions in the Ukraine - the south-west (Azov-Mariupol) or northwest (Donetsk)," Komakhidze notes.

Apparently the consolidated unit of the 28th SMBR is represented as a battalion tactical group (BTG), composed of: up to 2 152 mm batteries, self-propelled artillery guns MSTA-S (12 units), one tank company (10 units), two motorized infantry companies in BMP-2 (APC) (20 units) and other supply units.

"It should be noted that we had previously spotted the consolidated unit of the 28th SMBR in the Rostov region. In particular, in July and August, it was seen in approximately the same place as now, near the village of Veselyi, but later it disappeared from sight. Apparently the BTG was returned to the place of deployment in September for reformation - rotation of personnel and preparation of equipment to winter conditions," the blogger notes.
