 Terrorists Open Fire on Workers Repairing Gas Pipeline

The aggression of terrorists in towns in the part of the Luhansk region controlled by Ukraine is intensifying.

This was stated by Luhansk Regional State Administration Chairman Hennadii Moskal, Censor.NET reports citing the press service of the official.

"During the last days the villages of Kriakivka, Orikhove-Donetske, Chornukhyne were shelled by artillery and mortars. Particularly intensive shelling was conducted at the Krymske village of Novoaidar district, which was attacked nine times with Grad and mortars," the report reads.

According to the press service, after 7 p.m. the terrorists fired 20 artillery rounds in the direction of heat power plant of Shchastia city. The building where Interior Ministry unit is stationed was damaged. The shock wave shattered the windows.

"The situation is critical in Stanytsia Luhanska, which is practically on the front line," the chairman of the State Administration said. "Local residents who failed to leave for other districts do not leave their houses, the children do not attend kindergartens and schools, state and municipal agencies do not work. Yesterday Stanytsia Luhanska was fired upon six times during the day, and at night the shelling continued. "

It is also noted that as a result of bombardments of Stanytsia the terrorists destroyed a house, damaged a school, as well as a garage and two cars: "During a firefight the militants shot and damaged a low pressure gas pipeline which subsequently ignited. Then the terrorists opened aimed fire at the gas service workers who came to repair the pipeline."

"The main rebel positions are deployed at high ground near the entrance to the city from the direction of Luhansk with continued accumulation of heavy artillery and mortars," the press-service added.
