Cabinet Disproves Information on 1,762 Deceased ATO Participants

The reports that 1,762 soldiers posthumously received the status of the ATO participant, which several media have spread, are untrue.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine press service reports that Minister for Social Policy Liudmyla Denysova's statement concerned granting of the social benefits to the members of the families of the servicemen fallen during the ATO, Censor.NET reports.

"We note that today the right for the benefits under the Law of Ukraine "On the Status of War Veterans and Guarantees of their Social Security" received 1,762 members of the families of the victims. We want to emphasize that we are talking about family members of servicemen who died in the ATO area," the message reads.

Earlier, some media released Denysova's statement that the status of the anti-terrorist operation participant has been allegedly posthumously provided to 1,762 soldiers.
