Minister of Social Policy Liudmyla Denysova announced that the government has undertaken the ministry to register all social payments recipients from the ATO area to get rid of the 'pension tourism', Censor.NET reports citing The Insider.
"It was decide that all such recipients were obligatory registered in the social security administration. That is, to receive a certificate that they are internally displaced and are living outside the ATO area," Denysova said.
According to her, this decision was made due to the fact that people from the territories controlled by the insurgents come for pensions to the territory controlled by the Ukrainian government and then return.
"The need to file all of them arose because 'pension tourism' flourishes today. It means that the people just come to receive the pensions outside of this area and then return," Denysova notes.
She added that the pension fund does not pay pensions in 16 districts of the Donetsk region and in 14 districts of the Luhansk region.
"The funding is not conducted in the Donetsk region: 16 districts and cities do not receive money from the Pension Fund for pensions' payment. The same situation is in 14 districts and cities in the Luhansk region," the Minister said.
