 “You Cannot Prove it” - Russia's Defense Ministry on Its Troops Moving to Ukrainian Border

The Russian Defense Ministry claims that statements of Canadian Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird, as well as those of a number of representatives of the US and NATO regarding Russian troops moving to the border with Ukraine allegedly have no grounds and are based on hearsay.

RIA Novosti reports citing a representative of the Russian Defense Ministry whose name was somehow not revealed, Censor.NET informs.

"These statements were made with reference to some 'messages' without providing factual evidence, not to mention such traditional 'arguments' as rumors from the social networks, which set the teeth on edge," a representative of the Defense Ministry said.

Earlier, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada said that the state authorities are seriously concerned by the information about Russian troops moving to the Ukrainian border. The Canadian Foreign Minister urged Russia to "immediately withdraw troops from the border regions" and noted that Canada will continue to monitor the situation.

Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Petro Mekhed said Nov. 5 that the Ukrainian intelligence confirms the Russian troops are currently in the territory of Luhansk and Donetsk regions as well as accumulating their forces on the Ukrainian-Russian border.
