 State Border Service Tightens Rules of Entry and Exit From ATO Area

The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine published a new order of entry and exit of persons to and from certain areas of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

This is stated on the agency's official website, Censor.NET reports.

Citizens of Ukraine entering or leaving the ATO area through checkpoints must present an identification document, such as: Ukrainian passport, international passport, diplomatic or service passport, a temporary certificate of a citizen of Ukraine. A birth certificate shall be provided in case of transporting children.

The Service also notes that foreign nationals and stateless persons shall enter or leave the ATO area through checkpoints using the documents for entry and departure from Ukraine, defined by Article 15 of the Law of Ukraine "On the Legal Status of Foreigners and Stateless Persons."

Foreigners and stateless persons travelling to certain areas of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions are sent to the filtration points to clarify the purpose of their stay in the ATO area provided the presence of: a passport document; an appropriate visa or a permanent or temporary residence permit.
