Ukraine to Build a Dam to Completely Cut Off Water for Crimea, Minister Says

Ukraine will supply drinking water to the occupied Crimea only if the economic organizations of the peninsula conclude appropriate agreements.

This was stated by Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine Andrii Mokhnyk, Censor.NET reports citing 24tv.

The minister said that while there are no such agreements, the government decided to build a dam that will completely stop the flow of water to Russian-occupied Crimea.

"Today, there is not a single economic organization in Crimea which has concluded an agreement with our economic organizations for the supply of water. It is clear that we cannot and will not do this at the state level because this is an occupied territory and the State Water Agency does not take part in the supply of water to Crimea," Andrii Mokhnyk said.
