DPR Terrorists Have Polled Their 'Elections' and Announced Winners

Terrorists of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic have announced the results of their 'elections' held during the weekend on the territories they control in the Donbas.

Censor.NET reports citing Liga.

According to the so-called Central election commission of the DPR, Alexandr Zaharchenko was elected the leader of the DPR by allegedly collecting 765,340 votes. Other candidates for the post Yurii Syvokonenko and Alexandr Kofman collected 93,280 and 111,024 votes respectively.

In the governing body of the DPR, which was dubbed "People's Council" by the terrorists, the majority would be formed by public association "Donetsk Republic" - 662,752 votes. "Free Donbass" NGO received 306,892 votes, which also gives part of the seats to members of the organization.

According to the terrorists, voter turnout totaled 1,012,682 people.

As reported earlier, on Nov. 2 the terrorists of the DPR and LPR held "elections" on the occupied territories. This is contrary to what was agreed in Minsk in September. Both Kyiv and numerous representatives of the international community, including the UN Secretary General, heads of intergovernmental organizations, leaders of major states, and other Western politicians repeatedly claimed that they would not recognize these "elections" that undermine the Minsk agreements. However, Moscow clearly states that it recognizes the voting by the terrorists. Yesterday, Russia's Foreign Ministry began to impose "elected" terrorists as a full negotiating party to Ukraine and Western partners.
