 Over 10 Ukrainian Soldiers Killed in Battles for 32nd Checkpoint Since Beginning of September - NSDC

The National Security and Defense Council states that at least 10 Ukrainian soldiers were killed during the fighting with the terrorists over the 32nd checkpoint near Smile (the Luhansk region).

This was stated at the briefing of the NSDC spokesman Andrii Lysenko, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrainian News.

"According to preliminary information, the losses in this sector over the period of confrontation since the beginning of September constitute more than 10 people," he said.

The identification of the bodies and search for several missing soldiers are under way.

The servicemen withdrawn from the checkpoint are being provided with psychological and medical assistance and will be granted leave.

Lysenko stated that the NSDC has not misled the public about the state of things at the 32nd checkpoint when it said that it was unblocked, but only passed on information received from the commanders of the ATO forces.
