As reported by Censor.NET citing the latest update by the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) headquarters press center as of Oct. 21, the Russian invaders fired upon the government forces 19 times including three strikes with weapons banned by the Minsk agreements.
The Russian occupation troops employed 120- and 82-mm mortars, grenade launchers of various types, large-caliber machine guns and small arms against the defenders of Shchastia, Krymske, Popasna, Shumy, Pisky, Marinka, Taramchuk, Krasnohorivka, Pavlopil, Vodiane, Hnutove, Lebedynske and Shyrokyne.
"The enemy fired upon our troops’ stronghold in the vicinity of Vodiane, the Mariupol section of the frontline, from 120 mm mortars, grenade launchers and small arms. The invaders bombarded the Joint Forces fighters deployed near Krymske and Shyrokyne with 82 mm mortars while an enemy sniper attacked the defenders of Shchastia.
"Three Ukrainian soldiers were wounded in action over the past 24-hour period," the report reads.
Intelligence sources indicate eight invaders eliminated and two more wounded yesterday.
According to the agency, the Russian-led forces today employed grenade launchers of various systems, large-caliber machine guns and small arms against the Ukrainian forces’ strongholds near Novotroitske.
