Deputy Chief of the National Police of Ukraine, Viacheslav Abroskin says he was briefed on the progress of the investigation into acid attack on Kherson activist Kateryna Handziuk.

"The person who masterminded the attack and the perpetrator were detained and we have them in custody. The other three [suspects] are under round-the-clock house arrest since they are cooperating with the investigation," he said.

According to Abroskin, the police take measures to identify and apprehend the person who ordered the attack.

"The information reported at the briefing makes me believe that the paymaster [of the attack] will be definitely identified soon," the top policeman said.
