As reported by Censor.NET citing the latest update by the JFO headquarters press center as of Oct. 15, combined Russian-separatist forces committed 37 attacks on the Ukrainian troops including nine strikes with weapons banned by the Minsk agreements.
The Russian occupying troops employed grenade launchers, large-caliber machine guns and small arms against the defenders of Krymske, Katerynivka, Stepne, Troitske, Luhanske, Svitlodarsk, Novoluhanske, Pivdenne, Avdiivka, Pisky, Nevelske, Marinka, Berezove, Starohnativka, Chermalyk, Pavlopil, Hnutove, Talakivka, Vodiane, Lebedynske and Shyrokyne.
The Ukrainian troops deployed near Troitske, Novoluhanske and Talakivka were barraged with 120-mm mortar shells while the strongholds near Troitske, Luhanske, Svitlodarsk and Hnutove came under strikes with 82 -mm mortars. The invaders fired upon the defenders of Troitske and Vodiane from armament of infantry fighting vehicles. In addition a clash took place in Avdiivka.
"One Joint Forces fighter was killed and three more were wounded in action over past day," the casualty report reads.
Intelligence sources indicate two Russian mercenaries eliminated and six wounded yesterday.
"Today, Oct. 16, the enemy committed three attacks on the Joint Forces’ strongholds in the vicinity of Novozvanivka, Pisky and Pavlopil using grenade launchers, large-caliber machine guns and small arms. Zero strikes with heavy weapons have been recorded since the morning. The Ukrainian military sustained no losses in today’s attacks," the JFO HQ said.
