 Elections in Ukraine Were Democratic - OSCE

The parliamentary elections in Ukraine were held in accordance with democratic standards.

Head of the OSCE short-term observer mission Harshtedt Kent announced at a press conference on Monday, Censor.NET reports citing Interfax-Ukraine.

"The elections in Ukraine were held in accordance with democratic requirements," he said.

According to Harshtedt, "this indicates that the authorities were able to hold elections on a significant part of the Ukrainian territory."

"It means a new step for Ukraine in terms of the elections' conduction in accordance with democratic commitments," he said.
