As reported by Censor.NET citing the latest update by the JFO headquarters press center as of Sept. 23, the invaders fired upon the Ukrainian troops 35 times including 13 strikes with heavy weapons banned by the Minsk agreements.
The Russian occupation forces mounted attacks on the defenders of Krymske, Luhanske, Novoluhanske, Shumy, Pivdenne, Maiorsk, Pisky, Avdiivka, Chermalyk, Pavlopil, Hnutove, Vodiane, Lebedynske and Shyrokyne using mainly grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms. The enemy bombarded the Ukrainian troops’ strongholds near Luhanske, Novoluhanske, Shumy, Pivdenne and Maiorsk from 82 mm mortars and employed 120-mm mortars against the Joint Forces fighters in the vicinity of Luhanske and Novoluhanske. The strong points near those two villages at the Svitlodarsk section of the forefront came under the greatest number of heavy weapons strikes being bombarded as many as 10 times. Besides, the Ukrainian troops deployed near Hnutove were fired upon with armament of the infantry fighting vehicles.
"Three Joint Forces fighters were wounded in action over the past day," the casualty report reads.
Intelligence sources indicate four members of the Russian-led forces eliminated and four wounded yesterday.
"Today, Sept. 24, the enemy mounted three attacks on the Ukrainian troops including using heavy weapons. The invaders employed grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms against the strong points near Krymske and Shyrokyne while defenders of Pivdenne were bombarded with 120-mm mortar shells. No Ukrainian soldier was killed or injured in these attacks," the JFO HQ said.
