Terrorists Dismantled Part of Gas Distribution System in Donbas for Scrap to Be Taken to Russia - NSDC

The heating season in the occupied territories of the Donbas is in jeopardy because the militants dismantled a part of the infrastructure for scrap.

This was stated at a briefing of the National Security and Defense Council spokesman Andrii Lysenko, Censor.NET reports citing Gordon website.

"According to the operational information, the terrorists planned to provide the controlled territory with gas from the Russian Federation. But in many areas the local gas distribution infrastructure was destroyed by their shelling and partially dismantled and removed as scrap to Russia," the spokesman said.

The situation is most critical in the territory controlled by the LPR, namely in the cities of Luhansk, Alchevsk, Antratsyt, Brianka, Krasnodon, Perevalsk, Rovenki, Stakhanov, as well as in Krasnodon and Perevalskyi districts of the Luhansk region.

Three gas distribution stations have been damaged by shelling - Krasnodon-2, Novoannivka, Pervomaisk.

"The timely start of the heating season is at risk," the speaker said.

At the same time, chairman of the Donetsk Regional State Administration Oleksandr Kikhtenko stated that people living in the part of the Donetsk region controlled by the DPR militants should also be provided with heating in winter.
