DPR “Prime Minister” Believes Russia Will Pay for Economic Recovery of Donbas

The government of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic is confident that Russia will help in the economic recovery of the Donbas.

This was stated by the so-called prime minister of the DPR Alexander Zakharchenko, Censor.NET reports citing RIA Novosti.

"Recently a decision has been made, commissions have been sent, the Russian Federation will be providing humanitarian assistance in the reconstruction of the region, in its economic recovery," Zakharchenko said.

He also added that the DPR "has a very big problem with the launch of coal enterprises." However, the militants hope to start the work of 80% of the by-product coke enterprises by the end of the year.

In addition, Zakharchenko expressed confidence that the so-called DPR needs to focus on trade with Russia. "The industry of the DPR shall be fully adapted to the trade, to interact, to work with the Russian Federation. It is our strategic partner," he stressed.
