As citing Interfax-Ukraine, this was announced by faction head Serhii Husovskyi.
"The faction members [...] have decided to dissolve the deputy faction of the Samopomich Association in Kyiv City Council of the eighth convocation and cease its activities," Husovskyi read out the text of the faction's decision at a press conference at the Interfax-Ukraine news agency on Tuesday, Censor.NET reports.
According to him, the faction made such a decision at the general meeting attended by 19 out of 22 Kyiv City Council's Samopomich faction members.
The faction members pushed back against the actions and decisions of the party leadership when evaluating the activities of the faction members in the Kyiv City Council.
They also said that the public allegations against the faction and its individual members were groundless and provocative.
Husovskyi said he was going to submit the faction's decision to the city council secretary on Tuesday. He is convinced that the decision will be made public and will come into force at the plenary session of the Kyiv city council on the same day.
Earlier, four members of the Samopomich faction in the Kyiv City Council along with its leader Husovskyi were expelled from the faction. Samopomich party leadership believes its members steamrolled the allocation of land plots to the relatives of their fellow faction member. The relevant evidence was submitted to the National Anti-corruption Bureau of Ukraine.
