"BTR-80, which participated in the staged story of the Russian propagandists about "disarmament of the Right Sector’s base camp by the SBU members has recently popped up in Donetsk :-). Take a close look at the screens made of grills covering the upper body [of the armored vehicle] and the rubber ones below them. Here is the link to the fake news. Here is the link to the footage showing the convoy moving in Donetsk," InformNapalm volunteer Mykhailo Kuznietsov wrote on social media, Censor.NET reports.
In July 2018, the pro-Kremlin propaganda media started spreading a fake footage allegedly showing the special operations forces of the Security Service of Ukraine storming the military base of the Right Sector volunteers. The video was released by the Russian Defense Ministry-run Zvezda (Star) TV channel and shared by the Russian media outlet Vzglyad, as well as Internet-based media outlets supporting militants of the so-called "Luhansk and Donetsk People’s Republics" controlled by the Kremlin. The footage was parroted by some Ukrainian news outlets too. Activists and representatives of the Security Service then said the story was staged.
