First Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ukraine’s representative to the humanitarian subgroup of the Trilateral Contact Group on the Donbas conflict settlement, Iryna Herashchenko, wrote on social media, Censor.NET reports.
"In Avdiivka, we were shown the Serpanok system jamming the enemy’s television channels. The Russian handlers upgraded Donetsk-based 300-meter television tower with new transmitters and systems which broadcast almost 20 Russian and militants’ propaganda and trash hole TV channels in the front-line cities and villages.
"Serpanok system was developed based on the cutting-edge technologies of our military and activists to jam these TV channels: the ugly mugs of propagandists are now shown in slow motion, their words are illegible. It’s awesome. Serpanok already covers 180 cities and villages along the contact line," Herashchenko said.
She added that the military had found a way to jam the separatist’s FM radio stations as well.
