 Upcoming Elections’ Leaders are Bloc of Poroshenko, Lyashko Party, and "Narodnyi Front" - Poll

Bloc of Petro Poroshenko, Radical Party of Oleh Lyashko, Narodnyi Front, and Sampomіch Association might enter the Ukrainian parliament according to a survey of "Demokratychni Initsiatyvy” Fund after Ilko Kucheriv.

"So far, among those who intend to go to the elections, the vote threshold will be overcame by Bloc of Petro Poroshenko - 20.5%, Radical Party of Oleh Lyashko - 8.6%, Narodnyi Front political party (its leaders are Arsenii Yatsenyuk and Oleksandr Turchynov) - 6.8%, Samopomіch Association political party - 5.8%. Right next to the threshold, 4.7%, is "Vseukrainske obiednania "Batkivshchyna" political party (Yulia Tymoshenko leads it)," the survey conducted Oct. 9 - 18, 2014 in all regions of Ukraine, except Crimea, says, Censor.NET informs citing Interfax-Ukraine.

According to the poll, among those who are going to elect the parliament, 3.6% are ready to vote for Opozytsiinyi Bloc (with Yurii Boyko on the top of the list), 2% of voters support "Vseukrainske obiednania "Svoboda" (the leader is Oleh Tyahnybok), 2.8% support Communist Party, 1.25% will vote for Pravyi Sector, 3.75% - for Sylna Ukraina (headed by Serhii Tihipko), and 3.3% to support Hromadska Pozytsia (Anatoliy Grytsenko is party's leader).

According to the survey, 54.6% of respondents are willing to participate in the election on Oct. 26, 18.8% will most likely participate, 20.4% will not participate for sure, and 4.8% will most likely not vote. In addition, one-third of voters (32%) have not yet decided who to vote for.

"If only those who have already decided on the choice voted, 7-8 political powers would enter the Verkhovna Rada: Bloc of Petro Poroshenko (30.4%), Radical Party of Oleh Lyashko (12.9%), Narodnyi Front (10.8%), Samopomіch Association (8.5%), Batkivshchyna (7.5%), Sylna Ukraina of Tihipko (5.6%), the party Opozytsiinyi Bloc (5.9%), and probably Hromadska Pozytsia (4.8%). At the same time, the choice of those 32% who haven't made a decision yet may be distributed differently," the research result says.

The survey was conducted in 110 towns and villages in all regions of Ukraine except Crimea. It was impossible to conduct a survey in Luhansk. Total of 2025 respondents were interviewed. The selection error does not exceed 2.2%.
