The request should now be considered together with the Ukrainian government and the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the representative of the European Commission said on Tuesday, Censor.NET reports with reference to the DW. Subsequent Commission's proposal will then be submitted for approval to the European Parliament and the Council of Europe.
The executive body of the EU is in favor of the financial support to Ukraine, said Jyrki Katainen, who enters the position of the Vice President of the EC on the labor market, growth, investment and competition in November. At the same time he did not specify for what purpose Ukraine is going to spend the requested amount.
Previously, the EU has approved a package of economic measures in support of Ukraine totaling about 11 billion euros.
