As reported by Censor.NET citing the latest update by the JFO headquarters press service as of Aug. 15, the enemy opened fire on the Ukrainian military 43 times, including six strikes with heavy weapons banned by the Minsk agreements.
"The Russian occupation forces committed deliberate attacks using grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms. They also employed armament of the infantry fighting vehicles 120- and 82-mm mortars against Ukrainian soldiers at separate sections of the forefront. Defenders of Krymske, Novozvanivka, Svitlodarsk, Luhanske, Novoluhanske, Maiorsk, Marinka, Avdiivka, Opytne, Pisky, Krasnohorivka, Novotroitske, Novomykhailivka, Kamianka, Chermalyk, Hnutove, Lebedynske, Pavlopil, Vodiane and Shyrokyne came under the enemy fire. In addition, the invaders shelled the Ukrainian troops deployed on the outskirts of Svitlodarsk and Hnutove with 120-mm mortars and bombarded defenders of Krymske, Luhanske and Hnutove villages with 82-mm mortars," the situation report reads.
The JFO HQ also reported another provocation in the area of disengagement of forces and hardware near Stanytsia Luhanska village where the invaders were shooting at the government forces with small arms.
"Two Ukrainian servicemen were injured in action over the past day," the casualty report says.
Intelligence sources indicate two invaders eliminated and another three wounded yesterday.
