 Boeing Increases Staff in Kyiv and Transfers Part of Orders from Moscow

Boeing Concern will develop its activities in Ukraine: the staff will be expanded by two times, and a number of orders will be transferred here from the Russian office.

Ukrainian office of the company became independent from the Russian, Censor.NET reports citing HP2.

Branch of "Boeing-Ukraine" appeared in November 2013 and at the moment is completely independent from the Russian branch of the company. In 2013, Kyiv development center was opened as an aid to Moscow, but now the approach has changed.

Kyiv office of the company now employs about 150 people, but by the end of the year the staff will be expanded to 400 employees, a ccording to a source in the Boeing Russia & CIS. At the same time, the number of engineers contracted in Russia will be decreased from 1200 to 1000 by the end of the year.

Ukrainian development center is now actively recruiting employees, many are invited to transfer from Moscow to Kyiv", - a representative of the Russian development center said, noting that the cost of labor is much lower in Ukraine than in Russia.

In turn, the Boeing representative explained that in Kyiv, there is a good opportunity to attract professionals. "There are many talented and highly qualified specialists among Ukrainian engineers," - he said.

Part of orders will be transferred from Moscow to Kyiv. At first, only part of the work process will be conducted in Kyiv, for instance, drawings, but Russian engineers now travel to Ukraine to train new employees and teach them about work methods.
