 Gas Negotiations in Brussels Dragging On

Negotiations about terms of gas deliveries from Russia to Ukraine and the EU are in progress in Brussels at the moment, but they might take much more time than planned by the Eurocommission.

An Ukrinform reporter in Brussels informs, Censor.NET reports.

According to the schedule, a bilateral meeting EU-Russia and a bilateral meeting Ukraine-Russia were held.

The meetings culminated in a three-party negotiations which were supposed to start at 1 p.m. CET and be followed by a 2 p.m. press conference of the vice president of the Eurocommission Günther Oettinger, Ukraine's energy and coal industry minister Yurii Prodan, and Russia's energy minister Alexander Novak.

At the same time, the organizers announced that the negotiations will end later without indicating time, and the press conference will as well be postponed.
