As reported by Censor.NET citing the latest update by the JFO headquarters press center as of Aug. 13, 2018, the invaders fired upon the Ukrainian troops’ strongholds 41 times using heavy weapons in 11 cases.
"The Russian occupation troops committed attacks using grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms. They also used armament of infantry fighting vehicles and anti-tank missile systems at certain sections of the forefront as well as committed strikes with 122-mm artillery and mortars.
"The defenders of Krymske, Novotoshkivske, Troitske, Novozvanivka, Novoluhanske, Pivdenne, Maiorsk, Zalizne, Pivnichne, Opytne, Avdiivka, Novotroitske, Bohdanivka, Hnutove, Lebedynske, Pavlopil, Vodiane and Shyrokyne came under the enemy fire. The invaders also bombarded defenders of Novotoshkivske with 122-mm cannon artillery; shelled our positions on the outskirts of Zalizne, Pivnichne and Bohdanivka with 120-mm mortars; and bombarded positions in the vicinity of Novozvanivka, Troitske, Avdiivka and Vodiane with 82-mm mortars.
"Two JFO soldiers were wounded in action over the past day," the situation report reads.
Today, Aug. 14, the Russian occupation forces reportedly mounted two attacks on the Ukrainian troops’ strongholds near Pavlopil and Shyrokyne villages.
Intelligence sources indicate two invaders eliminated and five others wounded in a second-strike response over the past 24 hours.
