According to the president of Poland, the current sanctions against Russia bring "modest but positive result". "The policy of sanctions has strengthened Ukrainians," he said.
Komorowski also stressed that Russia has failed to implement a plan to capture all of eastern Ukraine. "They managed to do this in the Donbas, but were unsuccessful in Kharkiv, Odessa and other cities," the head of the Polish state said.
According to him, the common position of the EU on Ukraine, which in the near future "may be tested for destruction," must be held at the moment.
