 Russia Should Return Crimea to Ukraine to Lift Sanctions - Komorowski

Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski is convinced that the sanctions against Russia will be lifted in the condition if Crimea is returned to Ukraine.

He stated this in an interview with Rzeczpospolita, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrinfrom.

"That's the way the entire Western world has defined it," Komorowski answered the question of whether the conditions for the lifting of sanctions against Moscow would be Russia's return of Crimea.

According to the president of Poland, the current sanctions against Russia bring "modest but positive result". "The policy of sanctions has strengthened Ukrainians," he said.

Komorowski also stressed that Russia has failed to implement a plan to capture all of eastern Ukraine. "They managed to do this in the Donbas, but were unsuccessful in Kharkiv, Odessa and other cities," the head of the Polish state said.

According to him, the common position of the EU on Ukraine, which in the near future "may be tested for destruction," must be held at the moment.
