In an interview, Ulianov said that the volunteers had long been unable to speak with the representatives of the Defense Ministry. They even went on a hunger strike outside the agency last year. They demanded that all the soldiers who took part in combat operations have equal privileges under the law.
"The guys ended up being sent to a hospital as servicemen to be examined by the military physician board which decommissioned us based on all our previous health issues. Some of us had concussions and the like. In the meantime, Special Operations Forces Commander Luniov transferred us under his personal command according to some unclear orders and I was kicked out once again within a day after examination by the military physician board," Ulianov said.
According to him, they did not pay him his salary and intentionally failed to issue all the necessary papers in violation of the law.
"I am up in the air. I cannot even register with the military authorities. I simply cannot go on like this anymore, cannot work and develop normally. My companion-in-arms was fired without his knowledge at all. He also received no documents. And as for our commander, who tried to address my issue, this is not funny at all, as he was himself fired back in 2016," the soldier said.
