"84 persons including 68 children were taken to a hospital after they presumably got acute intestinal infection in Orliatko summer camp in the village of Sosnivka in the Lymansk municipality on July 17, 18 (there were a total of 134 children in the camp). A set of sanitary and epidemic control measures is being implemented on the ground," the statement reads.
As reported, Sloviansk prosecutor's office initiated probe into the incident under part 1 of article 325 (violation of sanitary rules and norms for the prevention of infectious diseases and mass poisonings) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The necessary measures are being taken to establish the cause of the mass poisoning of children and bring those guilty to justice. The law enforcers took samples of food which the children were served with.
