Over the past day, the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) detained seven commercial vessels heading for or leaving the Sea of Azov-based Ukrainian seaports of Mariupol and Berdiansk.

Maidan of Foreign Affairs project head, BlackSeaNews Chief Editor Andrii Klymenko wrote on social media, Censor.NET reports.

"As for the crisis in the Sea of Azov: over the past 24-hour period, the coast guard of the FSB border service intercepted seven merchant ships all going to / from Mariupol or Berdiansk. That is a new record – it was five on July 4. On July 8, 2018, between 12:30 a.m. and 11 p.m., the motorboats of the coast guard of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation intercepted six vessels going to/from Berdiansk or Mariupol (the interception area marked on the map with a yellow marker). One more vessel was intercepted in the same area around 1 a.m. on July 9, 2018. The list of detained vessels can be found below. As before, those obliged to protect trade routes to/from the Ukrainian ports in the Sea of Azov and have the means to do so keep pretending that nothing has been going wrong for more than two months," Klymenko said.
