As reported by Censor.NET citing the latest update by the Joint forces operation (JFO) headquarters press center as of July 8, it was calm at Luhansk section of the frontline over the past day. However, hostilities were recorded at Horlivka and Svitlodarsk sections of the forefront: invaders attacked the Ukrainian troops deployed near Pivdenne and Svitlodarsk with grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms.
"Unfortunately, one our serviceman was injured near Pivdenne village," the situation report reads.
The JFO HQ also noted that the most intense hostilities occurred in Donetsk and Mariupol directions: "The enemy employed grenade launchers, large-caliber machine guns and small arms in 18 attacks against the JFO units near Avdiivka, Marinka, Vodiane, Shyrokyne, Lebedynske, Pavlopil and Talakivka. The defenders of these cities and villages sustained no casualties."
"The Russian occupation forces violated ceasefire three times today, July 9. They used small arms to invite retaliation in Popasna and Mariupol directions: the strongholds of the JFO units near Novozvanivka and Vodiane came under fire. No Ukrainian defender has been killed or injured in action since midnight today," the statement reads.
