"The enemy committed 17 attacks on our positions. Most of them were sporadic and brief," the statement reads.
It was also noted that the JFO units defended their positions without retaliating against the enemy attacks and steadfastly adhered to the cease-fire deal.
The situation was tense near Krymske village in Luhansk direction where the enemy committed attacks with armament of an infantry fighting vehicle, anti-tank grenade launchers, large-caliber machine guns and small arms.
The invaders also fired upon the Ukrainian forces’ positions in the vicinity of Novozvanivka village near Svitlodarsk with large-caliber machine guns and small arms.
At Donetsk section of the frontline, the enemy committed attacks near Avdiivka, Katerynivka, Krasnohorivka and Troitske using IFV armament, grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms.
The most intense assaults were recorded in Mariupol direction on the outskirts of Shyrokyne, Pavlopil, Lebedynske and Pyshchevyk where the Russian mercenaries used grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms. In addition, the defenders of Vodiane were shelled with anti-tank guided missiles.
"Despite the announced truce, the militants of the Russian occupation forces fired upon our positions two times today, July 4: in Luhansk direction, the enemy invited retaliation of Krymske defenders by shelling them with IFV-mounted guns and 82-mm mortars banned by the Minsk accords. The defenders of Vodiane village at Mariupol section of the forefront came under fire of under-barrel grenade launchers, large-caliber machine guns and small arms," the report reads.
The JFO press office also added that no Ukrainian soldier was killed or wounded in action yesterday and today.
