 668 Miners Evacuated from Zasyadko Mine, Salvos and Explosions Heard in the City - Donetsk City Council

The situation in Donetsk remains tense as of 7 pm. Single volleys of heavy guns and explosions can be heard from time to time in many districts of the city.

Censor.NET reports citing the press service of the Donetsk City Council that Tochmash plant workshop #9 was damaged this morning due to the impact of the projectile. The fire that started as a result destroyed the roof of the building. Zasyadko Mine was disconnected due to the shelling at 5 pm for 40 minutes. There were 668 miners underground at this moment. They all are brought to the surface.

According to the city council, there was an automatic shutdown of three substations in Kirov district at 05.00 pm leaving private houses in Mashzavod neighborhood without power. The causes of the power cut are verified. 36 transformer substations of all the city's energy supplying facilities remain dead at the moment.

Heating season in Donetsk, according to the City Council, began without disruptions. "The boiler facilities were started according to the schedules. 154 boiler facilities of the Donetskmiskteplomerezha public utility and 95 boiler stations of Teploset utility enterprise transfer heat agents in Donetsk houses," the statement says.
