Lawmaker Yemets: Showing respect for courage of Kremlin-held Ukrainian prisoners by standing on their feet, Polish MPs pass resolution calling to release them. VIDEO&DOCUMENT

The Polish Sejm adopted a resolution urging Russia to release Ukrainian political prisoners. Polish lawmakers voted standing on their feet as a sign of respect for the courage of the Ukrainian prisoners unlawfully convicted by the Kremlin.

Leonid Yemets, a member of the Ukrainian parliamentary faction People’s Front wrote on social media, Censor.NET reports.

"It's incredible!" The Polish Sejm passed a resolution calling to release Ukrainian prisoners including Oleh Sentsov and Roman Sushchenko. A Polish lawmaker, my fellow in the PACE shared this video with me. My dear friends! Watch the Poles standing on their feet while voting. [They did so] not because someone asked them to or attended the session but to praise the courage of our guys. Thank you, our Polish friends! I will never, ever forget this," Yemets said.
