Despite the war, this year Ukraine took second place in the world in terms of grain export after the United States and the first in the world in terms of productivity growth, ahead of Brazil.

According to Censor.NET, this is stated by journalist Vitalii Sych on his Facebook page.

Despite the war, this year Ukraine took second place in the world in terms of grain exports after the United States and the first in the world in terms of productivity growth, ahead of Brazil. And that's just a start.

According to forecasts, this year domestic farmers will collect 64.4 million tons of grain. This is greater than the record set last year - 58 million tons. And this is despite the fact that this year the figures from occupied part of the Donbas and Crimea are not taken into account.

Ukraine is now exporting more grain than the EU, but still less than the United States. In other words, it is second in the world. All experts insist that if our agriculture was as effective as, for example, German, Ukraine would have no problems collecting 100 million tons of grain.

There is also a positive trend in efficiency. Currently the production efficiency of Ukrainian agriculture grows by 4.5% every year. Until recently, the leader in the growth dynamics was Brazil with annual rate of 4.28%.

Of course it's not all that rosy. If there was less corruption and more brains in Ukraine, the numbers would have been much more impressive.
