"I am pleased to introduce Chairman of the Donetsk Regional State Administration Oleksandr Kuts. He volunteered to the war, has been a member of the SBU's battlefield groups since the early days of the Russian aggression. He is a person with an analytical mind-set; he is known and respected in the Donbas. I am confident that his experience will bring peace, restore the infrastructure, and develop the Donbas," Poroshenko wrote on social media, Censor.NET reports.
After introducing Kuts, the president also thanked the previous Head of the Donetsk regional military and civilian administration Pavlo Zhebrivskyi for great job.
Kuts previously headed a SBU department in the Donetsk region.
On June 11, 2018, Pavlo Zhebrivskyi said he tendered his resignation from the post of the head of the Donetsk regional military and civilian administration.
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the draft presidential decree on Zhebrivskyi’s resignation on June 13.
On June 13, Poroshenko appointed Zhebrivsky an auditor of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau.
